Very bad infections have been reported with use of Arcalyst. If you have any infection, are taking antibiotics now or in the recent past, or have many infections, talk with your doctor. You may have more of a chance of getting an infection. Wash hands often. Stay away from people with infections, colds, or flu. Some infections have been very bad and even deadly. This medicine may add to the chance of getting some types of cancer. Talk with the doctor. TB (tuberculosis) has been seen in patients started on this medicine. These patients were exposed to TB in the past, but never got the infection. You will be tested to see if you have been exposed to TB before starting Arcalyst. Talk with your doctor before getting any vaccines. Use with this medicine may either raise the chance of an infection or make the vaccine not work as well. This medicine may affect growth in children and teens in some cases. They may need regular growth checks. Talk with the doctor. If you are taking warfarin, talk with your doctor. You may need to have your blood work checked more closely while you are taking it with Arcalyst. This medicine may cause harm to the unborn baby if you take it while you are pregnant. If you are pregnant or you get pregnant while taking this medicine, call your doctor right away. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding. You will need to talk about any risks to your baby.
